In an ever-changing world shaped by the “new normal,” Fire of Hope invites us to pause and reflect on the past two years- how the pandemic has changed us and the stories we carry within us. Each of us holds a story that is both personal and powerful, reminding us of the importance of resilience, unity, strength, and above all, hope.

This piece was written to give voice to your story. Before performing Fire of Hope, choristers are encouraged to share their own journeys- experiences of living through the pandemic, and how they found light in the darkest moments. These shared reflections are as much a part of the performance as the music itself.

The music was inspired by the universal search for strength and the eventual discovery of the “fire of hope” that resides within each of us. The latin text is a later edition that was added in 2025 that reflect different phrases of hope and life.
